Default Fitting to replace black breather box question >>

ok the black breather box on the back of a d16y8, use for the pcv system.

if im removing that, and using one of these plugs



how do i get the plug to stay. epoxy, or what.

use a freeze plug or z-10 makes a block plucg that goes in the place of the black box thats what i used and use the both fittens in place of the back plugs with allen looking heads on them

you may have a problem with those fittings...I have those fittings along with the fittings that came in my endyne kit and they are different. The endyne ones are modded with some sort of siphon tube..

Those fittings you have pictured aren't for the hole left by the black box. the single hole where the black box is/was needs a freeze plug hammered into it. Those fittings are for the two large allen head plugs in the back of the block.

i dont have any alen head screws on the back of my block.

i have oil pressure sensor, water temp sensor, oil filter, black box, and coolant plug with 3/4 head.


if i wanna remove the black box. wtf do i do. , do thy make a plug with a fitting on the end like the one i have above. if so where do i get it at..

this on a 2000 d16y8 block

I don't have any experience with any d series blocks but b series blocks have two large(14mm) allen head plugs that you unscrew and then thread the two fittings you have shown above into. I've heard of drilling and tapping your crankcase for those fittings or similar endyn fittings. another reason to go b series.

so know one with a sohc has replaced there pcv system , and removed this black box..
