Fitting JE low comp pistons in B18C
My friend is doing turbo conversion on his JDM B18C, he got 81.5mm 9.1 pistons and had the cylinders re-bored and honed for the new pistons, when it came to dropping in an connecting the new JE pistons the instructions with them specifically state that the circlips have to be used for connecting to the rods. The OE pistons clips were pressed into the small end leaving the pistons floating but this cannot be done if he uses the circlips, so does he drill and bush the small ends of each rod and use the circlips leaving the small end floating or connect them ala OE stlye just by pressing the clips into the original ends, and if he did just press in the clips witout using circlips would this be strong enough under boost to hold everything together....any advice greatly appreciated.

Anyone else got any info on what to do, if he re-bores the small end and uses a copper bush this will mean a tear down in 5k miles as the bush will be whacked and need replacing....is it ABSOLUTELY necessary to use JE's circlip to connect the rods/pistons???????
