Default First turbo

I've always run high compression but I need more power. I sold my last block and just got a stock gsr block. I have a full gsr swap with a ls tranny in my 93si. I also have $3500 to play with right now. Should I just buy a kit and run it on the stock motor or build the motor and save for the kit later. I don't know enought to try any peice my own together. I thought about running a b16 head to lower my compression? How much boost could I run with that setup? Will Fmax sell there kit with no fuel managment? I would like to run a hondadata from the start. What kit has the best parts so I won't have to change out much later?

Thanks

What I would do is get a turbo kit and get stand alone. Even with stock bottom end you will see awesome results if tuned with a stand alone. But that is just me.

Which kit would you suggest? Also what kind of psi and power can I get out of the stock block with 550's and a stand alone?

I would get in on the Importparts.com drag 3 group buy. Both Rev-hard and drag are almost the same, but at the same time different. But the buy from importparts comes with everything you need. Once you get the kit just sell the FMU and check valves, then get a Hondata stage 2b.
Once tunned you will have a very fast car. I forgot about injectors, some RC 440-550cc will work fine.

YOu could also buy the infamous Arturbo downpipe to compliment the Drag turbo kit.

if you are set on lowering the compression, dont waste tons of moeny on that otehr stuff just get the thick headgasket, thats what I would do, or you could just get the JE forged pistons. I hear Drag III is nice...

So there is no need to go with aftermarket rods? I was thinking about going with Endyn 9:3:1 .20 over pistons. Will the .20 over weaken the cylinder wall very much? At what psi does the cylinder walls become the weak link?
