Icon2 Stroker Kit?

I'm being given the option to buy a used GSR block that's sleeved with a stroker kit for 2,000. Not sure of the brand of the kit, but any worries on a stroker kit if I'm going turbo? I am rather unfamiliar with them.

if its sleeved and has the kit installed, no probably not, you just have to verify the compression ratio, remember though the stroker kit is gona move your peak power way down in the rpm's.

I would gather more info on the type of kit it is, and the compression ratio that it is running. You should never buy something that you really dont know history on or spec's. That's my .02

Depending on stroke. Stroker kits give way more torque but less revs. Find out the stroke and kit. Find the compression ratio too.

Thanks guys, I will have the stroke and compression ratio posted up here by Tuesday hopefully. Would a turbo block with a stroker kit be something nice? I'm thinking you lose the high revs but gain TQ and the turbo makes up for higher end HP so isn't it the best of both worlds?

dont let anyone talk you out of a stroker kit, if you can get one for the right price, go for it, the only reason it isnt a common practice around here is because people swear by their high revving 9000rpm vtec engines, and dont see the point of spedning 2 grand for one of the stroker kits.

I like Knife edged balanced LS crankshafts with aftermarket forged rods that are 89mm with an OEM piston of your choice depending on the compression ratio you are looking for, to be used on my B18C1 setups. I feel that is cheaper then a aftermarket kit. Works for me my .02
