there is a race coming up on june 2nd at speedworld in az. i have a few spare H blocks laying around and a friend of mine has a turbo kit. now i was thinking about building a h23vtec motor that will be around 9.1 compression. my question is if i balance the motor and add rod bolts how many psi's can the stock H hold?? and will i be alright using 100 octane along with NGK 8 cold plugs? sorry for all the noob questions. i just wanted to make sure i was doing things right

There have been guys that have ran stock internals up to 500whp. If you are going past 300whp I would replace the internals with aftermarket components.

It Depends on the tune. If its for one race, well i would try to make some real power. I would run c16, make sure the timing is backed down and make sure you have no crazy cylinder temp. Just have fun. I would rev to only about 7k. If it's for one race, spare parts, you have room to play. What turbo are you using?
