Default boost on stock gsr

How much boost can you run on a stock gsr motor with 34k on it with a cometic HG and arp headstuds? Saying that I am running race gas with a very well tuned ems and proper fuel delivery.

How many runs do you want the engine to last?

Ok thanks for worthless replys I see you guys really know what you are talking about and are professionals!!!! Please don't even bother posting **** like that because it just wastes peoples time. I am not running this car at the track it is a street car and I was going to throw a headgasket on there to lower compression a bit so I could maybe run 12 psi. I have heard of people doing this on good gas and proper fuel and ems setup until they can build the block. This is my weekend car not my daily driver so it doesn't get alot of driving time. I am just wondering will stock internals hold up at this amount of boost? Compression tested 190 across the board.

put more info like if its a street car, how much power you want, how much money you got. id say8-10 street and track 12 psi tuned on a gsr is fast already and reliable with ems TUNED.

im running about 10 psi on my 95 gsr motor with 90000 miles with only apexi VAFC and DSM 450 injectors. i just cranked up the boost from 5 to 10 psi this weekend. i love it no detonating pulls hard and strong but now i keep blowing charge pipes guess ill have to invest in some really good T- clamps instead of hose clamps.

Thanks nextel and b18b1 for giving me a reply that I can use. My question was getting badgered by people with sarcastic replys. I apologize for my angry reply earlier but it seems almost any question people ask unless your posting a video about your car hitting the 400whp mark gets smartass comments back . Alright I should have explained more details about my engine I now realize that. I just want opinions from people who actually have experience with this particular setup and I am not looking for answers like "0-30 psi" or "how long do you want the motor to last" or "the search button". I am in here like everyone else to learn so help me out please or just post more stuff about my dumb newbie question with me and my 11 posts.

I'd say with good tuning, i'd keep it at about 14psi...of course not daily driven...daily drive it on like 11psi tuned and then on race gas up it to like 14psi... It also has a lot to do with the size of your turbo... 14psi on an sc61 or sc63 is going to be a lot different from 14psi on your run of the mill t3/t4

I would keep it @ 300-315whp on pump gas and 350-375 on race...how much psi that takes to reach all depends on your turbo size, tuning, etc...I made 307@14 with 93 octane on a b16 running a similar setup as yours (thicker gasket, arp's.)

hey alternative. not to be mean or anything but the search feature really does help. i find answers to all my ?'s so i never really end up posting anything. it really is worth it to take a couple of seconds or mins. to look up your question. This question is asked a lot from people with b16's and b18's. anyway good luck to you.

Could be 20psi from a small turbo or 5 psi from a large turbo. its all relative.

there are some on the board using T3/T4 running about ~13/14 PSI, about 300hp or so.

With great tuner, proper EMS, Spark, most importantly FUEL!, you can handle 14 psi.

my friend ran about 17 PSI, with piston and rods + hondata, and the walls crack on a b18a1 with vtec head. some people say the walls can handle more, but i don't see it first hand so i don't agree.

With a thicker headgasket you will be fine with 14psi daily on an average sized turbo tuned good.

......

stock USDM b181 comes with 10.4cr...... with that on 93octane 9psi would be a good stoping point. RACE 110+ octane you should beable to get away with a few 11-14psi runs. I personally would not do it though.

...... what HG would i have to get to drop the compression down to like 9.6 range? if so how much?

I plan on running a t3/t4e .60 trim .63a/r turbine stage 3 wheel. I have a 255lph fuel pump with 550cc injectors and an AEM ems. I was just going to run 8 psi until I have the money to get my block sleeved and get forged pistons and rods. I heard about getting a thick cometic HG to lower the comp enough to run like 12psi with 101 octane. I know this turbo wont make alot of power on 8psi. My goal I would like to see on this setup is 300whp. Is it possible while still being reliable?

with an ems you can run more boost, plus you have 550cc injectors, it should hold 300hp just fine.

my friend have stock injectors and fmu boosting 10 pounds with 91 octane.

to answer you question nicely, yes you can get 300 hp for a stock block with your setup, however reliability is another issue. Sure there are people running that daily for 3+ years but those are not the average cases. I had 260 tuned whp for 1+ year and now my rings are gone (7psi).

to answer like an *******

DO A FOCKIN SEARCH this question has been asked 1,000,000,000 times.

Inline pro 3mm will drop it 1pt, i run it in my b16, drops from stock (JDM) 10:4 to 9:4
