Default FINDING A COMPRESSOR MAP??

I have this used Precision Turbo t3/t4 and I'm trying to figure out if there is a compressor map for it or anythign close to it so I can figure out how well it will work for my setup.

Compressor : .60
Turbine : .63

stamped on the flange of the turbine housing is "THF3-" nothing after this

after measuring the wheel:

inducer : 54mm
Exducer : 76mm

(54/76)^2 * 100 = 50.48

so I know its a "50 trim"

I've looked at a few maps, but if I dont know what this one flows i dont know which one would be comparable... so any help to narrow this down would be awesome...

i wonder if you have a 5031e. is it a 6 bladed cast compressor wheel on the cold side and shoved in an E case?

this

I have already looked at the T04E map and when I plot my points, my 50% falls on the surge line, my 100% is dead center... not knowing that this is or is not my turbo it's kind of hard to tell if I'm too small or too big...

I will get some pics of the turbo here in a sec.

thanks for the help guys!

Yes, it is. based upon your measurements. trust me. You also have to remember that this is not going to be like some 16g or something 35-38lbs/min. Many people make the mistake of not plotting in more than 3-6 points. you need about 8-10 points, all with a specific sets of boost pressures in mind.

In addition, those plots and the math don't take into account engine demand flow, intercooler size for appropriate pressure drop, ambient temps, and most importantly, the turbine wheel and its capabilities. I won't go into a full tutorial with it, but suffice it to say that this turbo will reach about 8-15psi of pressure anywhere from 3000-3400 depending upon which B-series you have. A bit earlier with the K20 series.

*edit*. Its definitely one of the older model Precision 5031s that has been "modified" on the compressor cover for some extension or elbow or something using the 2.559" wheel diameter in the Ford Style 5 bolt. About 420whp maximum at 22psi of pressure is about the limit for most Honda B-series.

oh and all my calculations were for 1bar (14.5psi) so i will plot some more and see where this thing is gonna land me then. thanks again for the help!

It won't matter. Many of here have done it a million times. On the d-series due to the rocker arms and lack of efficiency, expect this to reach maximum pressure under 20psi by about 3500rpms, which is actually rather good as long as you don't do that VITARA crap and put the compression down to under 7.5:1 (which it will be). Stay with current compression of 9.0:1 or higher for best results with this.

Trust me.. the 50 trim is one of my favorites.. I know ALL about that bad boy.

I welded the extention on, the turbo was one of two that came off of a friends 993 turbo it was cut flush to fit on his car, I had the piece welded on so it would work with my precision 600hp IC with back door setup, the turbo will sit on a neukin topmount.

CP 9:1 pistons
had some clearance issues so original headgasket was ditched for a thicker cometic one
which is going to drop my C/R hopefully not by much crunching numbers now to figure that one out.
rocket motorsports valve train with a 59300 cam (Upgrading to a Bisi cam/valvetrain after I get some more headwork done)

golden eagle intake manifold
precision 880cc inj.
s2k throtte body

everything has been port matched,
ordering I/C piping/bends so I can fab all that up this weekend.
