Final Verdict? '95 GSR with Greddy Kit Impossible?
Alright, i've spent the whole morning searching through the archives. I am researching my future turbo kit...but when i come to the conclusion that the Greddy is the one I want, I see that it is only for 96 and newer! WTF? I think this is the only time it is worse off to have OBD1. Anyway, I am looking into a VERY streetable kit for my daily driver, and would very much like the Greddy kit to work, but if its going to cost a lot more to get the engine management right, i'll just go maxrev.
So there is no way to make the blue box work with a 1995?
Is it still safe to run the kit without an intercooler?
Thanks, i just want to clear this up once and for all.

Re: Final Verdict? '95 GSR with Greddy Kit Impossible? (1320development)
Since my car will be mild, do i need the hondata with the maxrev? Or can I just increase the fuel etc? I liked the idea of the greddy because it saves a lot fo time, not having to tune etc, get the piping welded etc etc. I am not looking for the most powerful thing as you can prob tell. I just would rather go turbo than jrsc.

bullshiet... a local shop said the same for my boy's 95 GSR... hooking up a blue box for civics is not the same for integras... there were a number of CELs and they tried to say it was a defective blue box... they called GReddy and GReddy said, "hey, it's not made for that car..." the results..? i gave my boy the vortech fmu out of my DRAG turbo kit and he also had to buy a missing link too in order for it to run without any problems... i think that's about it...

thanks accord guy. that is what the shop was saying..."it works on civics"
that really sucks though. how hard can it be for greddy to do another kit for obd1 integras???

Get yourself a revhard kit, you won't regret it at all.
Greddy is a good kit but it doesn't have the potential that a revhard kit has.
The ultimate kit will be a rev-hard kit with hondata controling your fuel needs.
Revhard kit - anywhere in the range of $3000- $3500.
Hondata s100b-
Edit - If you dont believe me, come down to my shop and I'll show you. Drive it before you buy it.

no problem, jabroni... well if you decide to get the greddy kit and run something similar to a drag fuel management setup (my boy also had a vafc btw), he was making about 240-something hp at 8 psi... i forget the torque numbers... don't even bother trying to wire the blue box up to a obd1 integra... the shop tried every possible way to wire it up and it still wouldn't work... besides the greddy blue box, the rest of the kit bolts on nicely ofcourse and it's a clean installation... -good luck...

the kit wont work, I have one on my hybrid. No blue box, Vortech FMU , check valves. OEM injectors. The RC's are too rich at idle.
runs better.

Turbo E. So you have the greddy kit working well without the blue box and just a vortech fmu? You even used the stock injectors?
