Default A few turbo install *pics*

just got done doing some work tonight. ive basically been putting in an hour here an hour there all winter. its starting to look like a real turbo setup now... any input or advice is appreciated. motor is gsr, turbo is t3/60-1. i know its a little overkill for stock motor now but i plan on going bigger next season.

not much room for the big 60-1
so i jammed a filter in there, is this ok?
tiiiight squeeze

jrc 6" front mount, custom 2.5 mandrel bends, ssautochome mani braced and reworked.
mmmm

looks good, but you should invest a little more time into the filter maybe a new one. That one looks pretty beat

I was thinking the same thing.. is there a chance the heat produced by the turbo will melt the air filter? I'm guessing it gotta be a possibility..

just be careful because if your car torques a lot it will eventually rip the air filter off or puncture it.

spray some wd-40 so you could remove some rust from the turbo

why not flip it around so the compressor is on the passenger side? you would need to get a slim fan and possibly notch the block a little, but there would definately be a better fitment

that is an awfully small IC for that large of a turbo... what are your power estimates?

anyone can take a guess as to how much power he'll make. a lil research on Honda-tech and you'll get an answer.

btw, if you do the research...let me know. i'm too lazy to do it myself

you are an ***. jesus christ the guy was trying to hint at him that if he has a FULLY BUILT GSR like at the top that FMIC might be a little small. but if the guy is only going for sub 350whp im sure that 6" FMIC will be just dandy. he was trying not to jump down the guys throat and wanted to ask a question rather than be an *** like you.

I would guess the guy is going for 300-350whp, and you should really route that air filter somewhere else, it looks silly and probably is hurtin the cars performance to some extent

the t3/60-1 doesnt fit if i put it the other way. the intake side of the turbo sits behind where the stamp is blocked. I think it might have something to do with the ssautochrome manifold placement.

how will the filter melt? does the turbo housing really get that hot? what other options do I have as far as a filter? this one is fairly small, maybe 5-6" long...

this is going on STOCK motor at .6bar, not looking for crazy numbers 250~275...
