Thinking about getting Ferrea dual valve springs and .5 mm oversized ferrea valves and if needed, all new guides and valve seals. Anyone know of any problems going this route?

If you go that route it will work well if you do one thing. Get the Ferrea valve guides. I had so many problems getting correct valve guide clearance using anything but oem or Ferrea guides when using the Ferrea valves. I tried the Skunk, REV and the Manley valves and none of them fit the guides as well.

So OEM and Ferrea valve guides work well with the Ferrea valves. Will the Ferrea springs work well with the gsr stock retainers? Im planning on keeping redline to no more than 400 rpm over stock redline. Are Ferrea spring locators necessary if im not using the retainers? anything else?

yeah keeping stock retainers will be fine and the Ferrea components work great with each other or with stock guides. You can reuse the stock spring locators (im assuming you are talking about what i call spring seats).

yea thats what i meant, thanks. I dont see a reason why I should get retainers if im not going to rev any higher.
