Fasteners for Manifold/Downpipe/Wastegate?
Apparently stainless steel, which my turbo manifold is made out of, loves to expand and sheer bolts. Ideally I'll be using a stud and nut setup on the downpipe, manifold, and wastegate fasteners. What grade/material fasteners should I use? How much room should I leave for thermal expansion of the studs when drilling holes? Is grade 8 alright for the exhaust bolts? Other than using anti-seize is there anything else I should do?
Thanks
Ben

If they aren't there I'll be making them. I suppose I could cut slots on the downpipe flange and the wastegate flange and I'd be all set.
Any preference for bolt strength- 8.8, 10.9, stainless, etc.??
Thanks

I would use stainless bolts since exhaust parts love to rust because of the heat they're exposed to.
