F23a1 Automatic on spray
i was talking to one of my friends and he brought up the suggestion on putting some spray in my car. i dont know much about it thats why im here lol. but i wanted to know a little more about it for my car and would i need any major mods to the internals of the engine to get this to work. I have a 2001 Accord F23A1 Automatic 2.3 4cyl coupe. I just now Hit 100,000 miles. if that helps.
thanks for any help in advance.

Re: F23a1 Automatic on spray
If you ran a 30-50hp shot through it AND had some sort of tuning to accompany it, you shouldn't have any concerns with the engine...I would cringe while pushing the button if i ran a 50hp dry shot on a stock automatic. The same goes for turbo cars...if you want the engine to last, get a proper tune. In this case, something like a VAFC or a cheapo tuning system would work. The transmission wouldnt be my priamary concern, but keep it in mind as well. If you have the money to invest, a small, external transmission cooler wouldnt be a terrible idea.

well i don't know if it makes a difference but i also have a k&N short ram Meagan racing header, magnaflow high flow cat and SRS cat back exhaust. and i actually have been looking into getting a transmission cooler basically the bigger the cooler the better.

dude DONT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!
all these ppl who have been posting probably dont have an auto accord
i dont know what type of engineering went into building the auto f23 tranny but that thing is a p.o.s.
its the weakest part of the accord and will most def fail. luckily yours has not failed but trust me it will. I say wait 20,000 miles by then it would probably be messing up, do a 5spd swap then you could do whatever u want to it.
if you dont believe me post the same question on this forum:
