Default A/F Gauge Not reading Right????

Just installed my A/F gauge before I start putting the turbo on and found out that it doesn't seem to be getting enough of a signal. When I start the car the gauge lights shoot up to rich, but then disappear all together. When I'm driving on the highway and I wind the car out you start to see the lights in the lean moving towards rich but I only get two or three bars from the lean side. Could this be a bad O2 Sensor or bad wiring etc....? Can anyone help?

Is this a narrow band or wideband?

Make sure you have a solid ground. The guage will run lean without one.

How do you know its not reading right? Are you comparing it against someone elses 'readings'?

It really sounds like yours is fine though.

Did you solder your connections or use butt connectors (the crimp kind)?

If used as a safety tool, it is totally worth the $50 it costs. If used as a tuning tool, then yes, there are more accurate options. To say its worthless though, doesnt help the original poster at all, nor is it an accurate portrayal of the product.

Im busy at work and taking a break to be a dick

Yes it is narrowband and yes I know most think its worthless so I don't need to hear it. It is grounded to a sub frame but I could connect it to the battery or something else if thats the problem.

Was it the ground? Just curious...always seems to work for me, when it starts acting up, mess with the ground and its money.

No actually. I first tried the ground in a different spot but it made no difference so I checked everything again and decided to solder the wire again. This time it worked. Looking back I realized that when I was trying to tap into the wire I cut it by mistake so I soldered it back together but I think it might not have been a good connection.

Anyway works now. Thanks
