external knock sensor??
Hi, i have a b16turbo with p28 ecu with hondata. But i want a knocksensor.
And i dont want one that changes my ignition by itself. I want an external one with a monitoring guage or something to read the knock level from(if there is any)
Is there such a unit???
thanks Jose

The reason i want one is that i tuned my car @ the dyno. But the temperature
varies alot here. So i'm scared that when it gets alot warmer outside, i will start detonating. And also just to be save i want a knock sensor. And i want a external one with a gauge because the p28 doesn't support this.

caspers has one but it uses a gm "microphone" style sensor. i am pondering an install on mine but i need to find a place i can put a 1/4 NPT hole to accept the sensor.

Doesn't a b16 have a knock sensor? I don't know - I'm an accord guy. Anyway, what's wrong with just aquiring a knock sensor, mounting it to your block and use a volt meter to monitor. Something to datalog would be better - some volt meters do that. Just an idea.
