Default Explosions w/ MSD Two Step

I have a friend that creates loud *** explosions louder or just as loud as a thunder king (not sure if you guys know what it is but its really loud fireworks) by reving pass the two step limiter, then he activates the two step while still giving a little bit of gas and when the rpm's drop down to the set two step limit it explodes and you can see fireball come out of his muffler (no cat or resonator). Now my question is, what kind of damage can he cause by doing this, if any at all?

Default Re: Explosions w/ MSD Two Step (BigMig)

haha i do this too with my 2 step..

umm basically whats happening is fuel is being dumped into the cylinders while the spark is being cut off so it goes down to the 2 steps set rev limit... so theres extra raw fuel all in the exhaust and so on...

as for long term affects....probably not to many...as long as you dont do it all day....there can be an issue with washing the cylinders...to much gas...washing oil off the cylinder walls..but if you do it once or twice here and there...probably no big deal...

but i will say its fun as hell....but usually such fun things arent then best for the engine....hence is everything we do though in some way shape or form
