Default Exhaust Question....

Should i use 2.5" piping or 3.0" with my turbo setup? I want to run about 10 psi... And do i really need one of thoose "turbo Exhaust" kits? i mean is there any difference from a regular catback??

Im running an Xs Power t3/t4 kit

you dont need 3 inch. but should make power more easily with it. (& might sacrafice some tq in the process, going 3inch)

my streetcar in 06 was doing 450hp/315 tq through a 3inch dp, and 2.5inch exhuast.

Awesome!!! now are these Turbo Exhaust kits/mufflers what they are billed to be or will any kit do the job at that low psi?

well some companies such as Greddy and a few others Sell a system that is billed as a turbo kit such as this one
http://www.greddy.com/products...ory=3
alot of the big companies have them(yes i know they dont have EG listed) just teh quickest one i could find. What would be the advantage or the difference of one of those... and do i need absolutley have to have one? Im thinking of just buying an ebay kit and putting a nice muffler on later.

go to a reputable exh shop, have it bent in 2.5 or 3" i had a 2.5 dp and 3" exh before worked well. get a good flowing muffler. i got my apex-i n1 cheap so i used. it. look at vibrant. kinda look stock, cheap.
i think other than a stainless fitting, you can do better with custom and a good muffler.

depends, 3" mandrel custom, made 550 with it last year, and an apex-i n1 cost me 300$ tops. the muffler was most of it. i dont think a vibrant is that much. kinda helps to know someone too. so kind of a coin flip i guess.

i guess it could be, depends where you go and if you know someone i guess. but for the sake of ease, it may be beneficial for you to get a kit.

Since, judging by the kit you have your not really concerned with power. I;d just get a 2.5 inch.
