Default Exhaust Piping for Turbo

Well im going to be installing my turbo in my car in a couple weeks and was wondering if i should upgrade my current exhaust setup which is 2.25 with a es tuning 2.25 muffler or keep it? Or would it be possible to upgrade the pipping and still let it run through the es tuning 2.25 muffler? Any help would be great

If I were you I would just stick to 3" all the way; your 2.25 exhaust is going to restrict the airfllow. My downpipe is 3" and I bought a 3" piping kit from kteller; I don't have a muffler for the piping, but I'll put one on later.

not trying to thread jack but "red crx" where did you get the piping "kit" on their site? Do you mean you just bought the different mandrel bends you need or did you buy a kit? I can't find it anywhere on their site.

Yes it will be ok to use 2.25 at lease for a little while but you will definately have some restrictions...and yea you will need a retune once you upgrade.

the one on the integra isn't done, but I did the same thing to my old crx. I'll post up a small clip of it...I just have to upload it. Doesn't sound to loud..you mostly just hear the turbo spooling up

on a turboed vehical there is no such thing as tuned exhaust unless you are tuning the amount of lag you want. in a turboed engine you want all the exhaust out as quick as possible so it will spool quicker. and you really dont realize how advantageous a 3in exhaust is untill you hit about 500 hp but put as big as you can fit.

I don't get what you are trying to say; If he gets tuned using a 2.25" full exhaust and then switches to 3", he will probably be running lean.

How about my turbo do you think the precision sc32 would be a good turbo for my goal which is about 250-300hp to the wheels? Or do you think it is too big?

I think its fine...on my old setup I used an sc34, which isn't too different from the sc32. Spooled up pretty decent and pulled all the way to redline
