Re: ex turbo (lazycoEX)
that's like asking how much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck would chuck wood... wait... wtf am i saying
ok sorry my random stupidity gland was swolen.
Nah but really. Look at it this way, the motor has a lot of miles. Have it checked out and tested (compression, leakdown, etc) and have basic maintence done on it (timing belt, water pump, plugs, wires, all that good stuff, etc). Now as for how much boost you can run... well that depends on A LOT of factors. The number one factor you can influence though is tuning. If you're running the Greddy kit w/ the stock fuel setup, i personally wouldn't run more than like 7psi. That's just me... i'm a ***** hehe. Anyway otherwise make sure you have a proper tuning tool such as a standalone or afc hack (well that's not the best of choices but it's good). Someone said on here once ur motor is as safe as your tuning gets. That's a good rule of thumb to go by aside from the physical limitations of the motor.

Re: ex turbo (CivicRyda2k)
boostedED9 is running 16.5psi on stock internals, which is over the top. He has a greddy headgasket, so maybe it's like running 15.5 on a stock gasket
I am running 7 and going up to 10 when I get a better intank pump (using stock now).

It basically depends on the condition of your engine and how well it's been taken care of. Also tuning and fuel system are very important.

Re: ex turbo (CivicRyda2k)
yeah boosteded9's set up is nice...gives us all sohc owners something to strive for...i'm getting my greddy kit tomorrow and the rest of the needed stuff next week...my engine has 170K on it and its been taken care of pretty good...the owner before me was some old lady that had it in the garage all the time...worst case scenario, you blow the D up, and get another long block for relatively cheap and drop it in...a place near my house sells the JDM d15's for 500 for a complete swap...
