Default Evo fmic on Del Sol

I just installed the evo fmic on my sol paired with a t3/t4 turbo and a Love Fab mini me eq mani. Do these charge pipes look too low? Thanks to the frame, low sitting mani, and goofy end tanks I couldn't get it any lower.

Question #2. This is an ls/vtec using the ls oil pan. Is there anyone else running this manifold on an ls or ls/vtec and how did you guys run your oil return?

mmmm buhO:-) lol

Josh that looks great.

Those charge pipe are by no means lower than how my charge pipe used to be on my teg. If you could raise them some, that would be great, if not, i highly doubt you will have a problem.

i agree.

try some silicone 45*'s off of the inlet/outlet, to keep the charge pipes up.

lovefab coated manifold yet an evo fmic?

i dont get it....

anyway, it would suck to have one of those dented up badly by hitting something such as a rock or parking block, i would get the endtank outlets of the intercooler cut and re-welded

He obviously spent all his money on the mani

And plus the evo fmic is pretty nice.

charge pipes are lower then usual but i think you should be ok, woulndt hurt to fab something up to make em higher just for the piece of mind tho, post more pics and numbers

All of the Evo owners local to me are still running the stock FMIC, and they are well into the 11 sec. timezone in the 1/4 mile, so I don't really see what the problem is... Lovefab = $$$

Nice setup

I got a good deal on the fmic and thanks to my boy B16crxt I got a killer deal on the mani, I just had to fork out alot of extra dough on the 44mm wg. I've heard mixed reviews on the evo fm but all of the negatives were brothers uncles cousins problems.

I'll probably go with cutting and then re-welding the end tanks straight and take the pipes around the side of the frame on the passnger side and then doing a rear inlet on the driver side because the driver side is already as low as it can possibly go thanks to that well hung mani. Thanks for the help guys.

Oh and bump on the question #2, I will be tackeling the oil return problem tonight weather pending

Tunning is planned next thur. as long as J.Davis is still avaliable

why are you running a 44mm? a 38 would be more than neough for your setup

The manifold came with a 44mm wg flange.

My goal is 300-350 to the wheels on a built ls/vtec so the stock evo front mount should be plenty for my needs. The only reason I have a 44mm wg, as stated before, because I got a killer deal on the mani and it had been flanged for the 44mm. Cody said that if I ran a 38mm it would ruin the jet coating for some reason. He knows his stuff so I went with it.

First of they are studs, not bolts
I don't know if the pic is detailed enought for you to see but runners 2 and 3 have a slot cut in the mani instead of a hole. This is because the runners go uppward and toward the hood before they go back down to the collector making it a tight fit. So smaller bodied nuts on shortened stock studs were needed to even get the nut started and to keep the nut from hitting and messing up that nice jet coat finish. You can't get laid with a scratched manifold!
