I was wondering if purchasing an Evo 8 intercooler for 150$ is a good deal. I can't seem to find how much they go for from searching, although there have been some f/s threads on here (with no price). Please let me know how much they are worth. Thanks.

150 is fine but they arent the best intercoolers i would just get one off ebay for 150 it'll be better in the long run

evo intercooler kinda sucks, you can get a better one for $150

You can find a used drag intercooler for that price and those use the spearco core so they're good.

wait i'm confused here in your other thread you said you bought the ssautoshit along with the evo intercooler, or did you buy it seperately. I think you have no idea what your talking about here, and as for a running an sc61 on a d16 with 7-8 pounds is retarded just an fyi

I only created the intercooler thread to see if it would be worth selling the intercooler for 150$. I bought everything together and sigh, I was going to run an SC-61 with a b16 with pistons and rods. Why would I strap a 900$ turbo to a 300$ motor...

Also, the reason for asking the prices is because I want to recouperate the costs of the kit. Selling the vafc ii and the intercooler for the prices listed would net me that return.

Thats a pretty dumb thing to say..Why do people put thousands of dollars into $500 honda civics..?

But Id say you can get $150 for the evo intercooler..Even though you can buy a much better one off ebay for like $100..

You guys take everything so literal. I was just trying to say, why would you buy a turbo that expensive, and cheap out on the motor. I mean, putting a 900$ turbo isn't going to let the D16 push 400whp, whereas you can put the same turbo on a different car (with similar mods), and push out alot more.

sell it and all u need to do is get an 8 inch johnny race car fmic for 215 shipped....its cheap and good...have it on a talon....thats boost 25psi on a 20g and its good

Damn!! I'm paying for college and thinking about buying an s2k, so I need to conserve as much money as possible. Hence the reason why I brought up the idea of using the cheap kit.
