Default Is this ebay intercooler any good?

I need to upgrade to a larger intercooler and don't want to spend a ton on a core that will flow enough to support 350-400whp. Just wanted to know if anyone knew anything about this one.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1

Thanks

You get what you pay for. I would expect that intercooler to cool just fine, but you would probably experience a larger than normal PSI drop.

Why? Did you all of a sudden throw a 6.0 liter engine in the car? That intercooler flows about 3 times what you need.

Whats wrong with the psi drop? If its flowing good and you have a psi drop then the intercooler is doing its job and cooling the air..

Compress Air Flow Rate: <700Cubic Feet/Min, Rated to 600-700 Max HP
Working Pressure: 35~40PSI
Presure Drop: 2~5psi@35psi; 0.2~0.5psi@15psi

Unless the seller is lying, these numbers don't seem larger than normal

I just got my intercooler yesterday. These IC's are all over ebay being sold under different names. From what I see it looks like a good intercooler. I currently have a sperco 17 X 8 X 3" core on my car but the way it sits in my bumper opening the endtanks block airflow to the radiator causing my car to run hot.(I have a 240sx) So that is why I went with the larger IC. I can tell you the colling fins arn't as dense as the sperco IC I have now but I bet the size difference will make up for that. I only payed $218 shipped for mine.

Wow. . . that flows a TON.

I saw one first hand. . .

I'm not a welding guru or anything so I'm not going to begin to critique anything other than the fact that the welds look kinda gnarly.

and as 89civic said, the fins aren't quite as dense as on some of the higher quality brand name coolers.

It still looks like it would work just fine.

A very LARGE cooler

Sure, I bought one similar. Going to cut it apart and make 2 intercoolers.
