Default Errr...why me

To make a long story short. I was having trouble getting the skunk2 cam gears at tdc to route my timing belt and to have the crank pully right. MY dad and I fought 5 long hrs with it. Lol, it sucked we never did this before so dont flame.

How does this look...look tdc to you??

Thanks

*** Thanks for kwuaymaikrup help for this job**

take spark plugs out.. and try everything again.. if it gets hard to turn without the spark plugs in.. yes. you have a problem.

check the manual and see how to check if the motor is line up correctly. as in what marks to look for on the crank pulley

when i did my timing belt. i had everything lined up. but after i tighten the belt as per the directions in the helms, the intake side was off by 1 tooth. i found this out after i put everything back, started the car and it did not idle right.

i took everything off and just turned the camgear counterclockwise 1 tooth before i tighten up the tensioner and it was all good.

How much have you milled off the head and off the block? I think for each .012" it throws the belt off one degree. The only way to fix your problem is with adjustable cam gears. You will be advancing both cams an equal amount until your crank gear lines up at the tdc mark.

Nothing milled off the head. Nothing milled off the block that I know of. I just got back from you with it being assembled. I have the skunk2 cam gears. Are you saying just loosen the 6 bolts to the cam gears. Move them till they are lined up??

Do you loosen the valves first with a screw driver and nut with a socket
