erractic idle
The car is a civic vx with a b16 motor, and a turbo kit. When it starts up it will idle to 2k then 1k. It sound like a vaccum leak but it does not goes to 4k and down. What can cause that type of idle. He has 370cc injectors, fuel rail, 12:1 fmu, and afc to lean it out. He also has some type of ingniton msd 6al and blaster coil.
It all work before until he took the intake manifold off and tried to put a new one on it started to idle like that. He took the tps apart also. So I tought easy fix put it back and adjusted it but it ran a code. TPS so i got a another one and it still does it. adjusted to .5. There is no hose that is disconnected that i can see.
Could it be a vaccum leak at the intake manifold or injectors or fuel, cam timing, sensors or anything? Please help. My neighbor keep asking to help him fix it but i tried my best and he keeps bothering me. Thanks for reading my long post.

Doublecheck your hoses again, there are some that are on the back that you might nogt be able to see(my cruise control vac line is on the back of my manifold, and my car was idling weird for a while before I noticed it was off). Also, make sure your IACV is in good working order.

Re: erractic idle (inspyral)
how would i check the iacv? Does it sound like a vaccum leak problem? Thanks for the reply. Would a gsr on fit on a b16 one?

sounds like you have one of your vacuum lines hooked up backwards. also, make sure you have the TPS sensor and damnit i forgot the name of the other sensor but it is the SAME looking sensor... make sure you dont have those hooked up backwards. check all of your intake manifold lines, it really sounds like something is on backwards. when trouble shooting a problem like this, always start from the last thing you did before you started having problems.
