idle will not settle after boosting?
for some reason my idle will not calm down after I been boosting... I dont understand it? I looked at the turbo with the filter off and it was spinning hard still at idle... and did for almost 20-25 seconds after shutdown (this is not a bb unit as far as I know).
if I shut off the car and do a restart (after turbo timer stops)... it will calm right down to 750-800... sometimes even as low as 600.
could it be cause I have the idle air vavle deal just running open right now cause I am not sure if it needs to be in the vaccum route or plum'd into the intake track?
any ideas?

I somewhat have the same thing. Sometimes I'll mash on it, then the idle will be a little above 1000. Then after 5 seconds or so it settles back down. It's odd. Just curious if anyone would know what it is.
I heard it had some thing to do with the idle air control valve. one guy was talking about glueing some washers onto it or somthing...... i dunno but i have a similar problem. after boosting when i stop my idle jumps from 1000 to 1300 back and forth every few seconds.
