Engine Spooge?
I've had a catch can half-assedly hooked up for a few hundred miles, meaning it was hooked up to the valve cover and PCV but not to the intake pipe on the turbo because I was too busy/lazy to tap it...
After those few hundred miles it had about 2-4 oz. of watery/puke looking stuff in it, like indonesian peanut sauce (if anyone knows that) and smelled like gas. My question is WTF?
There is NO coolant in my oil, nor oil in my coolant, so is this just a mixture of the vapors from the engine and condensation from the open port to the atmosphere? Anyone have any pics of their engine spunk?

Actually that is coolant mixed with oil. Go to your garage and mix a little coolant and oil in a waterbottle, shake it really hard and you will get the same stuff, except when its heated it turns gooeyier.
I dont think its a good sign. When mine did that, I had a slightly blown headgasket.

just curious, but how does one obtain a "slightly" blown headgasket?

My picture is from when I used pure coolant in my motor for like a year. I was told those chunks and goo is the silica precipitating out of the coolant due to lack of distilled water... it was kinda sandy

My friend ran his '87 Blazer with a dead head gasket for 3 weeks or so a while back. Needless to say, that engine died. ALL the coolant and oil had turned into that "spooge" stuff... nasty...
At least doing the swap was fun
