Default Engine Choice - B16a2 or Busted B18c4

Ok what would you do, i either keep my engine (B16a2) thats done 37,000 miles, or i use a B18c4 thats done 66,000 miles. The kid killed the B18C4 by oil starvation, so im aware, so i think the piston siezed in the block, rod snapped e.t.c. I buying Manley Rods and CP pistons in the nxt 3 weeks. Now would you just stick with the B16A2 that ive looked after or have the B18C4, im putting new rods and pistons in what ever engine. What would you do??

Or could i overbore my B16a2 to the B18 capacity, or is this not possible.

A full-race stage 2 GT setup is being fitted to the engine i choose.

Thanks

first i would go inspect the b18c. if it was busted due to oil starvation then i'm guessing it spun a bearing and broke a rod which might have went flying through the front of the block. also the crank my be useless.

To my knowledge i think your right, it spun a bearing and broke a rod, thats what im told has happened, but as you say im gonna take a look first. Id rather stick with my engine or better still, bore it out. Need some good advise here and some help.

Thanks

Your limited to a .50mm overbore without sleeving.Search for TECH 43 for a stroker option for you B16.
