Engine Building Question
I have a c1 block in my car right now, it's fully built. It doesn't have sleeves though. I'm going boost in about a month so I bought a another bare B18c1 block that has darton sleeves and has been bored to 84mm. My plan is to swap out the crank and eagle hbeam rods that it's my running engine in the car right now to this block. My question is, do i need to do anything before ordering pistons for it at a machine shop, anything they can check?
Do i need to get an align hone done for the bearings? I have the main caps and girdle that came with block. I guess I'm just looking for some advice on what to do with this block before assembling it. I'm planning on running about 22psi after tuned. I want to make sure everything will be done right on the bottom end. When i pull the motor out should i just bring the crank, block, main caps, and pistons to the machine shop, or can i just order OEM bearings and install them?

Re: Engine Building Question (93c1sol)
If its just been bored/honed to 84mm then just order the pistons. If you don't have a way to measure the bearing clearance then you want to bring all the parts to a shop that can. There shouldn't be any reason to align hone it.

Re: (SOHCD16y8)
so all i should have to do is get the bearing clearances checked and have them order the bearings and i can just install that crankshaft, my new pistons and rods and everything should be good?
