Default Engine building first time

I want to turbo prep a B20A5 engine for my prelude, but, other then installing cams I've never changed anything internally in an engine before. How hard is it? Should I just have a good shop do it for me?

Here are my plans:

slight bore at a machine shop, forged pistons to match (stock compression ratio)
Pauter X-beam rods
stock bearings using plastigauge to measure

and put it together using honda parts and following the helm manual.
