Blown engine!! R16 to R18 swap!! What parts are needed??
Hi guys, my friend blew his R16 engine that had the zage turbo kit on it
the reason was because they removed the wastegate to check something and after they put it back onto the car, some idiot installed the vacuum hoses vise versa and the car pushed 25psi instead of the stock 7psi
the engine was an r16 because in Turkey we do not have R18 engines
Anyways, whatever happened, happened and we need to rebuild this engine.
Since we are doing a rebuild, we decided to convert it to an R18 rather than the stock R16
What are the parts needed to do this swap??
We eventually need
R18 pistons and rods which we found on eBay (CP pistons BC rods)
R18 crankshaft (we'll buy this brand new from a US honda dealer)
R18 oem bearings
The problem is that I couldn't find any sleeves for this engine. no darton or benson etc... Only thing I found was the ERL sleeves which was machine work. Are there any companies that make sleeves for the R18 or do we have to do it by machine at the engine repair shop??
Thanks in advance...

ok, but I cannot find any aftermarket sleeves for the R18
I checked darton, benson but looks like no one makes them

I don't think there is huge aftermarket support for those engines. I would call some of the manufactures directly and talk to them.
