Is there anywhere i can just by endtanks for an srt intercooler. i bought one about 6 months ago in perfect condition and sense the factory endtanks go backwards for the srt, im in search of new ones . i finally found a shop down here that can make them from scratch but i rather have predone endtanks and just have them weld them on. I've search all over honda-tech and online but they don't have the endtanks that are 6x2.75

any help is greatly appreciated

 

just buy a srt4 intercooler. use that or cut off the endtanks and weld them on to your existing intercooler.im sure they wouldnt be to hard to find in some srt4 forum.

cant you read... he has an str4 intercooler and needs new endtanks to get them to fit his car because srt4 entanks go straght back instead of off to the sides

i would just have the place make custom end tanks and draw them a picture of how you would like them to look

 

maybe you can just buy 90degree elbows and call it a day.

 

ohh lol my bad. just cut them off, get the holes welded in. and cut holes and weld em wherever. seems liek alot of work though, just sell it and get something else. i hear ebay intercoolers are good and they are cheap.

 

yeah i could go custom endtanks but ive seen the work down here . but as far as the welding endtanks to the core there pretty good . iwas just wondering if i can just get some endtanks from somwhere....... iseen hundreds all over the net but not 6x2.75

thanks I've already been there ....i found some that's the right height but the with is to long all of them are 3.5 ,mines 2.75 can these be used ? would it be a problem welding these own?

 

thats a big difference. i dont think itll work. dude do this. im sure some srt4 driver has gotten in an accident and his ic got the best of the damaged. hes probably running all thorugh his srt4 classified sections trying to find one for a deal. just sell it. in the money your going to spend on end thanks, cutting, re welding and what not, its just not worth it. liek i said before, people rave about ebay intercoolers, or you can roll will one of the most reputable sellers on here (project dc2). here is his intercooler section on his website

Can you modify your chassis to run the intercooler as a backdoor setup?

I'm running the SRT4 intercoolr and just had to grind some off the chassis to make it fit.

 

yeah that's what im thinking about doing is a lil cutting i thinking of using the elbow method and use one 90 degree coupler for the cold side . the hot side should be alright being that i have no ac
