End of day one on my turbo install
Question:
How do i get the oil pressure sender cap off? I dont want to break the sensor, and its on there really tight. Thats about the only question i hvae.
BS:
It was a greddy kit, but the mani was cracked so i picked up the hks one flanged for a t25. It places the turbo too close to the block, so i cut a small piece off of the tranny case (the transmission is in the way of the suction pipe, and i think if i keep filing it down i can make it fit.
The greddy mani was welded, and i wouldn't mind using that, but i cannot get the bolts in the manifold. Does anyone have experience with the Greddy manifold and getting the stock manifold bolts into the manifold? The 3 and 2 runners are in the way of the bolt.
For my first time working on a car, things are going well. The oil return line that came with the kit is too small, so i'm headed up to a shop tomarrow morning to pick up a larger one. After i wire up the blue-box, and get the block ready for the turbo (OR get some differnt bolts that someone knows of that work with the greddy manifold?) it should be ready to run!

you need to replace the bolt for stud and nut. and even then they are a pain in the ***.... most of my turbo install involved me tightening those damn things up

as for the oil pressure sending unit, youre most likely gonna crack the rubber/plastic piece, but thats okay, the connector is INSIDE of that after you peel it back

i took the whole black rubber piece off of the pressure sender so that i could get to it easier. just take some needle nose pliers ti the electrical conector that will make getting the sender off easy.
my new manifold i had the same prob, but you have to have the manifold on but not all the way against the block so you can thread it alittle to get it started then tighten it the rest of the way when you get the others in.
