Default Emissions and turbo

Can someone tell me if emissions suck on a turbo car? How do those emissions tests like turbos?

emissions can be within limits with a turbo if tuned well.
I dont know if u are in the states or canada but over here in the US emissions testing is done at part throttle at 15 and 25mph so you are not in boost.

smog places that follow the rules frown on non carb legal turbo kits here in CA .

If you were borderline passing before, good luck passing now. Turbo housing and exhaust wheel absorbs a lot of heat, that's what powers the turbo. Heat is needed for the cats to work, I think you know where i'm going. If you have proper fuel management it shouldn't be a problem though.

I have a test pipe, stinks like hell. But there are no emissions checks in Michigan! You're in Ontario, that's not too far away. Move down here.

But yeah, what everbody has already said is true.

Thank you for the offer to move to the States, but I'd rather stay here

From what I understood, the only reason not to pass an emission test with turbo is if something is wrong with your car/install/tuning. So I guess I should be ok if I go turbo...
