I have noticed that MOST of the turbo cars have a EG Chassis.

Why is this chassis so more common than the EK?

 

Price and weight.

 

I think its more personal preference to be honest. Also, a clean EG Si will cost much more than a clean EK being that they are harder to find and more rare. Its just preference and a lot of people happen to like EG's. I myself like EK's but hey to each his own.

I love my ek turbo but i cant register it in Chicago due to emission testing i would have to find an eg which are exempt from emissions so it makes getting an eg harder in chicago due to emissions and theft.

 

because the EG6 and EJ1 are just so damn pimp

 

i run an EG and the reason i stick with them is because of NY state emissions.
obd1 check through the exhaust
obd2 check through the ecu so i would have to put it to stock once a year to get inspected
