i have an eg hatch with turbo and i tried hooking up my turbo timer and its not working right.

i hooked up the red wire to the white wire from the ignition
i hooked up the blue wire to the yellow wire from the ignition
i hooked up the green wire to the black wire with yellow line from the ignition
i hooked up the black wire to a ground

now that i have that all hooked up like that, my battery light stays on, my guages light up, my brake light stays on also. why is that? do i have some wires wrong?
it seemed like i had the key turned foward when all the wires were hooked, but i didn't have the key in the ignition.

i turned on the car anyways and set the turbo timer for 2 minutes just to see if it works. well, it worked, the car stayed on, but it didn't turn off.

any ideas on whats going on here?

how did you guys hook up your turbo timers in your eg hatches?
