Default which ecu to get for boost

I'm boosting my 2000 si and some people have told me to get a hondata, some have told me to get a chipped P28? I think? THis guy i kno wants to sell me some kind of ecu with a spoon chip in it, somebody els4e told me not to get it cause spoon is for all-motor cars.

IMO for a mild boost set up hondata s300 hands down..

no two engines are the same so anything tunable would be ideal. obviously hondata would be at the top of the list because it is a well known and trustworthy company but im sure a chipped and tuned p28 would be just as good/effective.

You are going to need a P28 or some other OBD1 VTEC ecu regaurdless.

i was using uberdata and was great for my new set up i went with apexi power fc and commander

crome works fine for me, but personally i'd rather go w/ either a newer Hondata setup or AEM

It doesn't sound like you are going to tune it yourself. You can use the search function on Honda-tech for numerous discussions of EMSes... Neptune, Crome, AEM, Hondata are the usual candidates. The bottom line: get whatever your tuner can use that fits your price range.

You're less than 5 hours drive from me, I'd have you use Crome. For less than the price of a S300 unit without any tuning labor, I can usually do a complete tune street and dyno. Just something to think about.
