I have always used MBC's Turbosmarts bleed valve and there dual stage. They both would spike and then drop back yes it does cost you power and it definitely makes tuning harder seeing how the boost spikes are obviously coming where peak torque in generated, detonation problems can occur. Then you have the a 1-2 psi drop off which really does effect top end power. They are great for low boost, but not really good enough for anything over 12psi IMO. If its a serious setup go for a EBC

that's what im worried about, i would consider this a "serious" set up and will be running more than 12psi. but ive also heard of turboxs and hallman holding high boost very well so i dont know

on the turboxs, is getting the dual stage even worth the extra 70/80?

damn, that's 2 for and 2 against

another question, to the people that were running the turboxs, are yall running the standard unit or the high performance? are they that much different? its like a $20-30 difference. i plan on running 18-19psi at the most

Cort Green (uglyasscivic) last time I checked was running the Turbo XS dual MBC and is making in the ballpark of 700 hp at 30 psi. Check with him for more details, but it sounds like they work just fine on high boost.

was looking into that also, but does anyone have any truth to the turboxs standard unit and the high performance unit?

Corts is not the hi-performance one, it's just the dual stage. I don't really know anything about the difference between the single stage ones.

Another thing I like about EBC's is gear or speed dependence (especially tonight).

turboxs standard unit performance vs turboxs high performance? is it worth it 2 spend $30 more or will the standard unit hold high boost well too?

But then the Greddy Profec-B is just another 45 more, then the Greddy Profec-B Spec II, is just another 35 more, then the Apexi AVC-R is just another 50 more.

Ketch my drift?
