Re: ebay wastegate spring (stewie8apie)
Ive got plenty of ssautochrome springs. They all work perfect, nothign wrong with them and they are super cheap, I think like $10 to your door. I forget what each color is boosted at but I have a red one in my 35mm and its 5.8psi. I think yellow or green is 14.7 so make sure you dbl check the site.

I actually bought that exact spring and it is more like 13.5 psi than 11.

Yep. When I initially installed it and went to tune it shot right to 11.2psi in Crome. When I went to the 3bar GM it was 13-13.5.

So that post was pretty much useless, he didn't ask weather it was better to get a tial spring or an SSauto, but rather if any has used them. EBay makes type S BOV's that are great so its a legit question to ask. Especially when the eBay springs are 1/4 the price. You also didn't even answer where to buy the tial springs since they are so great.
You can get the genuine tial here

Your first post sucked, and was completely uninformative

Re: ebay wastegate spring (Jim Truett)
I tell people that its not ebay the site its who you buy from on ebay you can find some genuine tial stuff on ebay, you just have to pay attention to the seller and the product.I am not an ebay person myself and with my experience with cars I purchased a couple of turbo things off of ebay and they were legit , even when I take the parts to my boys performance shop I dont tell them I bought the part from ebay then when I tell them that I bought it from ebay later on they say no way because alot of people know ebay to be a cheap site but trust me everything on ebay is not cheap bull **** it all depends on what seller you buy from and if he has the connection to sell the official thing.

My friend has used SSAC wg springs on several setups and he's never had a single issue. It's a god damn spring people, if you are experiencing boost creep or something, maybe you should a)check to see that they shipped you the correct spring or b)check something else in your setup that could be causing the problem.

Re: ebay wastegate spring (stewie8apie)
Sorry for my "uninformative" 1st post. Its seems that I am a very easy target being new so I wont even attempt to argue.
What I was trying to say is its hard to trust ebay with such items and a cheap price doesn’t help sell it. I myself am trying to sell on ebay and its hard trying to convince people that you are actually selling what you say you’re selling. No strings attached.
But like sh!ttyLS said, for something as simple as a spring or intercooler piping for example on ebay is not like buying a turbo there...you know what I mean.

We weren't trying to target you because you're new.
I completely understand what you mean, but "you get what you pay for" is a popular saying around here when it comes to topics like this, and its gotten to where its almost not even worth saying. With that said, welcome to honda-tech

ebay 13.003 @ 109 mph... sohc street tires, 90% ebay bought turbo system.
The stuff is there, and so are the deals, with the name brand products. I'd rather buy from ebay then the classifieds here.

hahaha
however, changing a wastegate spring is kinda a no brainer and i can't really see myself doing anything dumb...but i see your point.
to keep it on topic: i emailed the guy that sells the cheap wg springs and asked him how accurate they are at producing the rated psi....here's what he said
"Yes, the spring may cause slightly more than 11psi boost to occur. If this is a major problem, please have the springs psi tested before installed. The springs are suppose to be 11psi, but every spring will vary just slightly. Thanks."
shouldn't HE be testing the springs before selling them and not me??? makes me not want one even more.
