Default Tial WG spring compatibility

If i took a spring out of a 38mm tial, would it work in a 40mm tial?

thanks to anyone that knows. the next step is to fax tial cuz thats the only contact info i have on them

Im sure that all the springs are compatable, but im not sure what the spring rates are on the newer model Tials.
