Sure, they will work for farting around town, but they are marketed as 'racing radiators' which they are not. Put a car on a steady state dyno with one of these radiators. The difference between a junk radoator and a quality one becomes apparent in about 20 seconds no matter how big the dyno fans are.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I fully agree with you on that one... If my full size fluidyne radiator with two 12" fans still runs a bit on the "hot" side during a repeated back to back 4th gear pull during a hot summer day here on Canada (which in fact, isn't so hot compared to the southern states), I don't get how these guys are getting away with a radiator half the size and surface area. Now we get guys running Ebay radiators and praising them? I rather run no radiator and install some cooling heatsinks welded onto the head abd block and convert my engine to air-cooled...

Well if we buy them and it works, then should we say they suck? Too bad if your expensive setup doesn't keep your car cool enough. The same cooling setup in one car, isn't going to work exactly the same as the same setup in another car.
Alright everyone don't buy eBay radiators then. I have one and it cools my car fine and keeps me from overheating, but it sucks so don't buy it.

I have ran one on my car for 5 months now through the hottest part of NC summers and with a 3 inch downpipe within an inch of it, I have never had a problem.
The car also saw close to 4 hours of dyno time rarely getting more than a couple of minutes between pulls when we were setting everything up and it never even blinked. Stayed about 20 degrees cooler than it did on the previous dyno session with a smaller turbo facing the other way so the downpipe was not close to the OEM radiator.
People can say what they want about the 150 dollar radiator but it works like a champ for me and is the only off brand part on my car, I love it.

Radiator works good, rad cap blows goats, i put a honda cap on there, you need to trim the aluminum so the ears will fit in the space then it will be tight the first few times you turn the rad cap, after that it loosens up and will work just fine

I plan on getting one and running it on my set up. I think you have to take everything you read on HT about a ebay product with a grain of salt, cuz face it, alot of the time they work, and work good, but there are a ton of vendors on this site that sell the more expensive product and of course they dont want you to think that some ebay piece of **** will work just as good as there stuff......
i agree 100% i built most of my car with buying **** on ebay, motor parts, manifolds, injectores the works and i have a very well built car. you just have to be carefull with what you buy and who you buy from. the cheapest thing on my car is that ebay radiator and it works so i cant complain

i think the ebay ones may work fine but they may not be providing much better "performance" than a stock dual core like the sol ones. to really prove how well they work maybe someone should log water temps with both radiators on a steady state dyno as someone recommended.

Guys guys, no need to get all jumpy because obviously, I can tell you straight up that neither of your cars were boosted and running for 3 straight years and over 40000 miles. No need to rag my expensive setup because my expensive motor/turbo deserves it. I don't go invest thousands of dollars on a good turbo setup just to ruin in with a shitty radiator. I actually drive my car and boost 5th gear, which I doubt your buddies would ever touch the forbidden 5th gear. You go ask them why and they'll tell you their motor will blow up because of their Ebay parts...lol
How would you know that the next Ebay radiator you end up getting is just as good as the first one? You don't. That's the problem, and that is why we pay $$$ for good products just so we don't skimp over something called "quality control"
It's luck that you end up with a good unit, and it is only luck that your engine is still running fine. One unlucky day and you're screwed.
I can easily find a used Fluidyne radiator for under $120 locally... In fact, I just bought one for my JRSC D16Y8 a week ago. Over a few tens of dollars vs proven reliability and cooling, you go figure.
I am kind of tired of these threads, but I am always too nice and have to speak up and warn others. These Ebay-equipped Hondas are like our front-line soldiers, taking every bullet that Ebay shoots at them and let us realized not to take good proven parts for granted

Take an Ebay radiator equipped car to a track event. I bet it will overheat with a stock DOHC motor, let alone a boosted motor.
I track and rally my turbo Integra and spent a lot of time and money on a development program aimed at getting high HP (400+ whp) Honda motors to last for long periods of time at extremely high temps. An Ebay radiator simply won't cut it. Sure, they work fine for drag cars and daily drivers, but you won't find an Ebay radiator on a real race car.

High compression + boost lies within the tuner. I didn't get some knock off Ebay tuner to tune my car that depends on luck. Stop comfortng yourself and pretend that you've made a wise investment. Your car is no different than a russian roulette.

I bought a Fluidyne as added insurance on my "investment", and actually feel bad about cheaping out on a $50 or so b18bturbo fan. I am a total believer in the you get what you pay for thing because for the most part it is true, there are scattered success stories but I hate to be the one that is not so lucky. I totally agree with Tony and others about not cheaping out on something as important as a radiator. I have found that the cheap fan and the Fluidyne are still not enough as I like to constantly keep my car at < 195 no matter what, and I creep into the 215-220 range recently driving around here on a 95 deg. day not even boosting.

I was having slight overheating problems with my factory radiator and since i was on a tight budget after dumping thousands intothe motor build i went with a brand new mishimoto i found on ebay...$93 shipped.
before aluminim radiator in 100deg outside temps in florida motor would run around 210 with it creeping close to 230 and sometimes even overheating (stock temp gauge needle doesnt move past normal resting point till 228F)
after radiator motor now runs at about 195 degrees outside during the day (less at night) and sometimes creeps slightly above 210 during highway driving and high rpms, and close about 215 with th A/C on and driving on the highway at high rpms. these temps are according to the stock sensor and AEM EMS output.
no leaks great fit, awesome investment IMO
to all the haters

Dude it almost sounds like you are trying to justify it to everyone. Logs are proof of how they work. Hell I am a non ebayer but when I got a radiator from godspeed for less than I could get a new dual core stock when mine developed a leak, why not? I for one have 0 problems with the "oh my GOD" 5th gear boost on the highway. My car was built to be hurt like that and it doesn't fase it. But when I found a bargain like that, there was no reason NOT to buy it, it's not LUCK, it's economics!

Sounds like you're just another typical consumer than never tries the cheaper solutions, but instead looks down upon them even though they've never tried any. If buying an expensive radiator makes you feel better assured that it will protect your car investment then good for you. Find me and the rest of the h-t community a $120 fluidyne and maybe we'll change our opinions.
note: h-t member Airbag Club overheated his n/a setup at the track and that was with a Koyo Aluminum race radiator. So there goes your assurance that these expensive radiators will never fail on you.
