I just emailed him this past week and he reponded right back to me, but i was asking about where i could get a inlet flange for my compressor housing. I donno. I've heard both really good things and really bad thing about this guy. I'm happy with the service i recieved from him though.

I am guessing user error. How does your oil return look? Have good compression in your motor?
I bought a t3 60 trim .60/.48 from down2turbo about 7 months ago and the turbo has worked out great. I have a shitty *** oil return so I do burn a little bit of oil (motor has good compression), but that is my fault, not the turbo. I would recommend this guy to anybody seeing as his prices are fairly cheap for a brand new remanufactured turbo.

Do you mean your return doesnt flow well or something?
Im tired of buying busted *** DSM turbo's, but dont want to spend 600 for a new turbo, but Im not sure this is the right route either.
How does this guy compare to turbocalculator.com rebuilt turbo's?

Correct. My manifold sits the turbo really low, so my oil return doesn't flow well. Thaty is the only reason my car burns oil, the turbo is not the problem.

I know a few other people running these turbos also and they have no problems. I would defintely get one. Get an external wastegate if your planning on boosting more than 10 psi though. The internal wastegate works good, but at lower boost levels. It's not very stable at higher levels. I had to shorten my arm quite a bit and use a mbc just to get it over 10 psi.

Do you think the Garrett T3 Super 60 would be a good turbo for 250whp?

its been a while. but the first one. the shaft bent on us. possible bad balance.
2nd one the locknig nut on the compressor wheel came loose and sucked back into the turbo.

I just got my t3/t4 turbo on ebay but not from down2turbo. Try to buy one locally so you can check it out before you buy it. I know the guy you are talking about and to me, when he answered my questions he seemed kinda shady. If you are doubt, call the guy and see what's up.

Down2Turbo's turbos come from MJM Turbos so if that gives you some more insite into who he is and where he gets his turbos.

This is the first time I have ever heard anything bad about the turbos. They do have a 90 day warranty though.

Re: (Ebay)Down2turbo???? (-16V-)
I purchased my Super 60 T3 from them and have had the turbo on the car for 2 months. Seems to be working fine. Spools nicely and have had no problems so far.

I remember one guy saying he wasn't responding to his emails regarding warranty work...
As cheap as the are Im inclined to bite the bullet and buy new.
