Default Eagle rods on a b16. Power capabilities?

I have eagle rods and I was thinking about the pistons I can use. Since I can get a discount on head work I was thinking about using pr4 pistons and just milling the head to make it about 9.5 . Also could the b16 with eagle rods handle 400 whp on a good tune?

There's two B16 motors out here making 700hp with eagle rods. They're holding up just fine! With the 3/8" rod bolt there's really nothing to worry about. It's an awesome rod.

I've done about 4 or 5 set-ups that made 400+ on the 3/8" style rod bolt eagle rods.

yeah, Eagle rods are the last thing you need to worry about. Pistons are the thing you'll need to be concerned with.

I've tuned more than one setup making 600+ on eagle rods, one before the 3/8 bolts. Just don't tear it that far down and put stock pistons back in.

You should be good on just about any setup.. eagle does a hell of a job manufacturing their rods

So from what I hear the pistons are crap and I should just invest on some forged pistons?

Ok then. How about the bearings? Should I use tighter clearances to factory spec?

CP pistons. ACL or OEM honda bearings will be fine. For higher power you want to go with looser clearances than stock. Not excessive though... whoever builds your engine should know what will be needed.
