Crower the only option for rods in a B17??
What connecting rods can I use on a B17?
Crower is the only brand that appears to make them for this engine..
I'd rather not spend $675 on rods..
Is anyone using B16 rods in a B17 block?
The B16 rods are only .082" longer, that would up my r/s to 1.65, but then how would I choose pistons? assuming that the rods would fit without clearance issues..
How strong would new OEM honda rods be if I got them shot-peened?
I'm not running a lot of boost right now, but I want to have that ability..
B17
stroke = 3.205
rod lenght = 5.208
r/s = 1.62
B16
stroke = 3.047
rod length = 5.290
r/s = 1.74

I believe crower is the only one making rods for the b17...they are good rods tho!
I dunno if Pauter makes them or not but if they do they'll be around the same price as the Crowers...
I can't answer whether the b16a rods work well...I wouldn't trust shotpeened rods with high boost/hp
