All I wanna know is, what is wrong with the crower econo rods??
I Haven't really seen anybody use these things here on honda tech to really have something bad or good to say about them, I know that I installed some in my friends Ls shortblock and we have hit 20psi with them no problem...
Althou if anybody does have a story about them I would be glad to hear about it.
But up to this point no one has had any proof of them being a bad rod...

My buddy and tuner of my car ran these last year Crower econo billets, they were identical to the Eagles with bigger rod bolts. He ran 440whp on them for awhile and went 10.60@134mph, ran the car every weekend basically. USED and ABUSED! He never had one problem with them. He now has Pauters same as me just for that extra bit of insurance. Crower themselves will tell you to use these I think up to 12psi only, but we know 12psi from a straight T3 and 12psi from a PT67.

Terry,
thank you so much for replying on this subject I think the only reason some people are bad mouthing them is because they are made in china and the packiging says "for use from 12-15psi" I don't think they sold too many anyways just becase of that.
I know when i did a build up on that LS block with GE sleeves, Ross pistons and those rods, when installing them the bolts were much bigger looking than the eagles and they torqued to just around 40lb instead of the 20lb or so that the eagles torque to...
The only thing thats left to do right now is figure out what turbo they had in mind when they tested these rods or gave them their rating hehe, but than again it could have just been that Crower wanted to give eagle some competition in their market of econo rods!!
