Default E85 CRX Project

Finally got her done. My set-up was a bit laggy prior to the E85 tune and just switching over to E85 just improved everything. I really loved the much improved response of the turbo. Just does not seem as laggy anymore. Peak torque jumped way up and of course peak WHP. We could have made more power but I just decided to settle on this for now. Max boost of 13psi. Very conservative tune to keep it alive for a while. 331 tq by 5800rpm was something to get used to. Burning out at 3rd gear on an LS tranny from a 70mph roll is pretty intense. I'm hoping to get some MT tires on there very soon.

B18c1, stock GSR head, Supertech block guard, 81.5mm 9.8:1 CP Pistons, Eagle Rods, stock sleeves, ACL Bearings, Skunk2 Intake manifold, Boostwerks top mount, T3/T04e Garrett 57 trim, 3"DP/Exhaust, Hondata S300.

Thanks to TC's Performance for the tune and block rebuild. Laskey Racing for refreshing the cylinder head.

I really have to add to the comment on the quicker spool. I've been retuning my delsol on E85 (lsvtec/gt3071R) and I'm really amazed at how much more responsive it is. I'm seeing boost as low as 3100 rpm now! I'm really shocked at the noticeable power increase overall as well.

This is a really impressive fuel and I'm so damn glad I decided to switch.

All stock fuel lines, tank and filter. Only change is a Walbro 255lph fuel pump.

Do you have a dyno sheet of your set-up? I'm thinking about using a GT3071R.

No, I don't have anything to post. The only dyno in my area moved away. I just found a mustang dyno close-by though that's kind of hidden. I'm only running 8psi at the moment. I wanted to be a little cautious tuning the E85, then I'll put my 1bar spring back in.

I've had your turbo in the past, but I love LOVE the 30r...especially on E85. Like with your setup...the lagginess is just GONE on e85.
