Default Which E-Manage?

So, Im going to be getting a Greddy turbo kit for my '00 Si here pretty soon. I know it comes with the Greddy E-Manage but I heard its not exactly the best...I was thinking the E-Manage Ulitmate because it seems to have alot more features. This car is going to be a daily driver, but I am going to be taking it to the track 1-3 times a month, so Id like some versitilty. Can you guys suggest any other options? Any help would be apprecaited. Thanks

you would love the ultimate a lot more. the emanage gives you no control but the ultimate can give your tuner total control of your engine. i see you're from the bay, if you need anything form greddy let me know. we're a greddy dealer.

None they both suck. And it would be cheaper & better (more money for tuning) to run a chipped P28 not to mention alot quicker & easier to tune (which will save you money on the dyno) and the better tune to boot.

Run a chipped ECU, piggy back's suck, thier one dementional compared to stand-alone's. I had a E-Manage (Blue & Ultimate) and I was WAAAY UNHAPPY. I actually gained 22whp just swiching to a Chrome Pro chipped P28. But it's your decision, so just choose wisely, it's your call in the end anyways.

Put it this way, I'll NEVER by another Greddy part, and the one's on my car came off as soon as I had the tune done. And yes he was a GOOD tuner, has been to greddy many time's to attend thier EMS classes so he knew what he was doing.

no doubt about it that piggy back's dont compare to the standalones. but reason why greddy released stuff like the ultimate is for people who CANT(supras, rx7's, etc) have stuff like chrome and cant afford a full standalone. plus with the ultimate you can link it to the profec controllers and get even more control with a display. once you use the ultimate you'll see that its basically a standalone.

Like i said "i have used both, the blue & ultimate" and i had nothing but crap experiances. Plus having the Profec B is basically just a bunch of gauges, but if you dont tune, or cant understand it in general, this just leaves more room for error when you get a guy who cant stand touching shinny or flashing buttons.. Opps there goes your tune...

well if you look at it that way i guess thats also true. but if its in the right hands i can tell you from "my" personal experiance that they work great if used correctly.

Not sure if you've ever heard of Intek Racing in Kent Washington, but he's a GREAT tuner especially with greddy units. I think if it had been on another car (ie: Supra, RX7, 300ZX) it might have been a differant story.

With the B & D serie's I've seen running a E-CantManage, most have had more power to unlock but couldn't because of the unit's capibilitie's. I just don't think it's really the right EMS to run on any honda ECU.

Just my opinion & experiance with em, if you want my old one, I'll sell it for cheap. Has the Timing, Ignition and Boost hanesses with the secondary MAP sensor. PM me....

The ultimate can not link to the profec only emanage blue can be linked.
