Am i loosing alot of power because of too much fuel? Should i get a 10:1 fmu disk? or possibly even 8:1? What would you recommend?

yup...too much fuel will screw HP up the anus...try 10:1 first. maybe turn down fuel pressure a tad too?

You'll gain 20-40whp difference depending on how much boost you are running by getting that leaned out. Ajdust the fuel pressure, if that doesnt do it enough try getting a smaller ratio disk. I would just get a standalone and not mess with the old fmu hacks.

I'd leave the fmu like it is and tune it down with an AFC of some sort. If you drop a lower fmu disc in there you might lean up on tip in. Just a thought...

it is according to your setup.on a stock bottom car i usually tune them to 11.0:1.you are not far from that.you could get an afc to smooth it out.if it needs to be a little leaner overall,i would turn up the boost a bit.just use the afc to smooth the curve out.

i'm having the same problem with my jrsc. i'm getting way too much fuel. it makes my car bog out and hesitate. where can i get the smaller ratio fmu disk from?

The only reason i dont turn up the boost more is because i dont want to run that high of fuel pressure.. at 10 psi your talking 120 plus 35 to 40 stock psi. thats 160 psi fuel pressure.

that would be according to your pump.i had a walbro 317 with a 12:1 fmu and it never went above 90 psi at 22 lbs of boost.

The FMU will not change the shape of the curve...it will only shift it's position up or down.

Ie, if you ran a different FMU you could make it leaner on top, but it would be leaner everywhere. It would be dangerously lean down low. You need some kind of fuel controller that will allow you to pull full out in certain areas.

exactly what i was thinking. Why don't you just get an uberchip or purchase an AFC to lean out some areas?

these uberchips....can anyone tune them? I saw on the website that it is $200. But is that all i need or do i have to pay something else. Also it doesnt explain about how its installed(like in factory ECU or what). It does same as hondata boost option?
