Dying turbo?
Yesterday I had to take my turbo off because I had to fix a leak coming from the oil return line. I noticed when I took it out the compressor side was moving around as if I was clocking it. I found one of the bolts was missing on the turbine side to tighten it, so I replaced it. Unfortunately, there was still some movement on the compressor side. That's my first problem. So, I checked both compressor/turbine wheels. I wiggled and found there was some play. Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't the shaft not supposed to move up and down 'at all'? Then, I'm driving around today and I crank up the boost til 10 psi. (I have a DRAG 3 kit) It seems that it didn't hit 10 psi til around 6.5k. Are these all signs of a turbo going south?
Thanks in advance

Re: Dying turbo? (DC2)
yes, it sure as hell is. If it takes that long to hit 10psi of boost, then there aparently is a lot of play in your turbo. depending on the size of your turbo, you should be hitting at least 10psi by somewhere around 3500-4000 RPM
