Dump tube..

I have the trial 38mm waste gate, and when I start my car there is a very little amount of exhaust leaking from the dump tube. Normal?

not normal. this needs to be 100% Shut or else you'll be leaking boost. it should only be open when your boost controller tells it to open.

The thing is I dont have a boost controller, I wasn't planing one investing in one either. I have a pretty good idea of why it is leaking, after looking at all the fittings it comes with..

did you put the wastegate seat in? it is a ring that looks like a flange. that goes into the valve pocket before you bolt it on. if you dont install that it will leak.
