Default Duel Rad setup

has anyone ever tried to run two seperate radiators? my setup is one of the ones that doesnt allow a full 3inch rad. so im using a civic half rad. now i wanted to know if i got another stock civic half rad and just tapped the hoses top to top bottom to bottom and the overflow will that work? will it cool any better? just curious to know if i would benifit from something like this. thanks

Will it work, in theory yes. Better? maybe. More complicated, definitely.

y more complicated? all you would really have to do is mount the second rad. the bottom and top hose going to the motor from the first rad cut them in the apporpriate place. run two more hoses from the new rad, and tee them in!

I just dont want to be the one who tries it out. wondering if anyone did this before

They will fit, I used two in my EM1 and in my EG hatch:

The second one on my setup was for the air/water intercooler, but I guess that you could just daisy-chain them for more cooling.

Use whatever radiator you want, I was just showing that two half-width radiators fit easily.

Then where are you planning on putting the second radiator?

same place a full rad would go. i just cant fit a full aftermarket thicker rad cause of the turbo. so i run a 2.5inch half rad but where the full rad wouldnt fit infront of the turbo i can place a stock thin half rad

Custom radiators can be made with cores and tanks just like intercoolers. And there is no reason that two radiators can't be used as long as you can bleed them.

Why would you want to do this? Are you having overheating issues??

Yes it will work fine.

Everyone needs to back off, if he wants to do it let him do it.

i wouldnt do it for ***** and giggles. before my build i would heavly overheat in trafic but from what i found out after dissasembling the motor was that my hg was cracked in a couple places. so it might have been due to that. but now with my new build i havent drove the car yet so i dont know if it will over heat.

im not saying i want to do this, i just wanted to know if it was possible to do just in case i would still be over heating and i thought that might help. and would be better then spending 800+ on a custom radiator.

and i know its going to fit

my original question was if it would be more efficiant? not would it fit. just if it would work

Couldn't you just get a full sized single core radiator?

why don't you use one integra radiator? I'm assuming the thickness is whats preventing you from using an aftermarket full length rad. If that doesn't work take a tape measure and go down to pasyunk ave. and do some shopping. 2 rads look rigged.
