Boosted setup with stock radiators..
well..I hope i don't jinx myself...but I am running a stock civic half radiator on my setup. Never once overheated...and still hasn't. Good water temps while sitting at idle, while boosting, and while cruising on the highway. Water temp guage reads 80-90 degrees celcius.
What I don't understand is, why are there some people out there that overheat with their stock radiators and need to upgrade, and there are people who are fine with the stock radiators like myself?

it could be alot of reasons why others overheat, maybe they have airpockets in the cooling system or not enough coolant in the radiator.

The stock radiator is never an issue, uness you have a fan mounted infront of it, air pockets, leaks, cracks in the top or bottom of it the only reason I could see someone with a boosted setup getting one is, anytime you blow a headgasket and your system overheats there is also a good chance of the radiator blowing the top off or simply cracking the plastic.

Re: Boosted setup with stock radiators.. (newgsr)
I drive mine daily 400whp and have made over 500 on the dyno and have
yet to have a problem with a Stock Del Sol radiator. I get **** for it all the
time on how I could be using it. It has served me well but I plan on upgrading
to a Aluminum one because of track events where I'll be boosting longer
periods of time.

someone brought this up on another board. Could a more aggressive tune lead to more heat?

well yeah... more power = more heat dissipated.
keep in mind that we are talking about thermal issues with a motor. over heating isn't something that causes immediate damage (unless way over heated of course). running just a little bit hotter then normal is what kills the life span of your motor.
